Port of Espasante

La localidad de San Xoan de Espasante tiene dos partes diferenciadas: Por un lado la aldea (dedicada a la agricultura), y por otro el puerto (dedicado a la pesca). El puerto de Espasante es un típico puerto marinero, en el que se pueden ver pequeñas embarcaciones de pescadores así como un [poi=70046]vivero cetárea[/poi] y la lonja del pescado. Se encuentra a orillas de la [poi=70045]ría de Ortigueira[/poi], junto a una [poi=69108]pequeña cala[/poi] y a la amplia [poi=70043]playa de A Concha[/poi], uno de los principales atractivos de la villa. En torno al puerto y a su gran actividad marinera se han construido también viviendas, entre calles estrechas e irregulares, que dan al mismo arenal de la playa.

The town of San Xoan de Espasante has two distinct parts: On the one hand the village (for agriculture), and on the other port (dedicated to fishing). The port of Espasante is a typical fishing port, where you can see small fishing boats and a cetárea nursery and the fish market. It is located on the banks of the estuary of Ortigueira, next to a small cove and the wide beach of A Concha, one of the main attractions of the town. Around the port and its great maritime activity they have also built homes, between narrow and irregular streets, which give the same sand of the beach.

Esta playa me impresionó gratamente. La vimos en nuestro camino hacia los Acantilados de Loiba y nos dejó con la boca abierta. A pesar de estar pegada al pueblo, da la sensación de ser completamente virgen. Es un buen sitio también para alojarse por esta zona porque pilla muy a mano tanto hacia el este como hacia el oeste. This beach impressed me pleasantly. We saw it on our way to the Cliffs of Loiba and left us with our mouths open.
