The truth is that we went to the Popular Archeological Museum of Hida somewhat by chance. We were in Takayama to enjoy the Sanno Matsuri, but rain forced us succor in this museum that is located in the spectacular Sanmachi-Suji district. In fact, the museum was once a home of Samurais. Museum admission is 500 yen. In the interior there are fun secret passages and a yard containing an ancient well.
