Poole Bay is a large natural harbor, and is one of the major points of maritime entry of the United Kingdom. It is located in the county of Dorset at the southern tip of England, sitting on the English Channel. The natural harbor of Poole covers an area of about 36km² making it one of the largest ports in the world, behind ports like Halifax (Canada), Cork (Ireland) and San Francisco (USA). Poole Bay is home to dozens of islands of various sizes including Brownsea Island, on which you can see a sixteenth century castle.
