The Pontocho alley is charming

Like the walk along the river bank, I recommend going here at nightfall. For dinner, we discovered a small wooden bar with the typical curtains and lanterns, not on the pavement overlooking the river but on the other side. They have a small menu in English and they basically have "hot pot" or "pot pot" and dumplings. The pot pot are Japanese soups with lime, mixed fresh vegetables and pork, they put it a couple of minutes in the bubbling broth. To finish the broth, ask for noodles. Two people can eat for 4000Y so it's very economical.

Curious.
