A temple to cheese in Madrid
If you’re a cheese-lover who’s looking for an original restaurant with a great atmosphere, this is your place!
I wasn’t expecting anything special from this place but, to my surprise, I left with the exact opposite impression. The lighting, the decoration, and the general vibe of the place make it a really pleasant experience.
The menu is quite long but well-organized (I normally can’t stand those long menus that make it impossible to decide) where you’ll find all manner of dishes related to cheese. For those not so wild about cheese, they’ve marked those dishes that are considered “cheese optional.”
The blue cheese croquetas deserve a special mention. They’re killer! Best croquetas I’ve had in my life. The raclette was another five-star dish. We weren’t quite full so we also ordered the beef cheek (they didn’t charge us, a nice detail). Next time we’ll try some of the cheese plates, which you can order pre-selected or customize from among dozens of cheeses. The second option is for the pros.
