Polop Castle
Polop Castle is of Islamic origin, although they have found remains of the Iberian period as well. It became prominent after the conquest of James I, but remained Muslim until the revolt of Al-Azraq. During the war of germanías, it became well known for the slaughter of the Moors. Neighbors of the population had taken refuge in the castle, fleeing the Vicent Peris militia who had rebelled against the nobility.
