3 reviews of Point Fermin Park

Relaxing park with a stunning view of the ocean

What a gem in Los Angeles’ South Bay region! Point Fermin Park offers a Northern California/Central California type of feel right in Southern California with a stunning view of the ocean and the most pleasant breezes. The Point Fermin Lighthouse is also right on site, which was used as a filming location for the movie “500 Days of Summer.” (It’s where Millie’s wedding took place.) There’s a lot of green space for picnics and parties, a pathway with a relaxing view of the blue sea, and a view of Sunken City, which has been closed off to the public. Parking right in front of the park is free, although spots tend to be full on weekends.

Excellent

My family back in the 50's loved this place.
With all the regulations I do not know if you are permitted to hike down to tidal pools to gather sea snails/periwinkle as we did a long time ago.
A beautiful location reminding me of great memories.
If I were to make a bucket list Point Fermin would definitely be on the list.
