El carrer Comtal es una pequeña calle que va desde el Portal del Ángel hasta la calle Laietana. Es una calle muy bonita porque a penas entras (cuando vas bajando la calle del Portal del Ángel, está a mitad de camino, a mano izquierda), y te lleva a un viaje en el pasado. Es una de las calles típicas antiguas del barrio gótico, pero que no ha cambiado mucho, todavía encuentras tiendas muy viejas, artesanos, carniceros… que siguen iguales desde hace décadas. Un detalle muy bonito es que han cubierto las paredes de las casas con poemas, en español y en catalán, dedicados al Carrer Comtal. Están escritos en paneles de cerámica, son poesías que cuentan como era la calle antes, uno pone que es todo un mundo en una calle, entre los jardines, los niños jugando, las tiendas, y el amor que le portan los vecinos.
