Pluscarden Abbey was founded by King Alexander II of Scotland in the year 1230. In conjunction with 2 other abbeys, Beauly Ardchattan Ross and Argyll, all by Valiscaulianos or Carthusian monks, it was later converted into Benedictines, As was common to monastic life came with Religious Reformation. It was built in the 16th century Scotland ... but then why is it in such great condition?
