Plaza Stanisław Jankowski

Muy cerca de la universidad más importante del país. Se trata de un sitio ideal para pasear en medio de la naturaleza y escapar un poco del bullicio varsoviano. Si visitas el parque en otoño, seguramente te encontrarás totalmente rodeado de hojas caídas que hacen del lugar algo parecido a un cuento. El nombre del lugar es un homenaje la arquitecto y urbanista Stanisław Jankowski, quien nació en Varsovia en el año 1911 y fue encarcelado por las tropas soviéticas durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Jankowski logró escapar de su cautiverio y huyó hacia Francia, donde se unió al ejército polaco. Por su participación durante el Levantamiento de Varsovia, recibió la ciudadanía honoraria de la capital en 1955. Actualmente, es considerado como una de las figuras históricas más famosas del país. En el año 1980, Jankowski publicó un libro donde relata sus experiencias durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
