Plaza Hidalgo

Si bien la Plaza Principal en el pueblo mágico de Santiago, Nuevo León es la llamada Ocampo, existe otra inclusive de mayores dimensiones a solo unas cuadras de distancia. Se trata de la Plaza Hidalgo, construida en el año de 1920, hoy en día una bonita área ajardinada con una fuente y con múltiples bancas que invitan a pasar una tarde muy agradable lejos del "bullicio" del centro de la localidad. Plaza Hidalgo bien podría ser una segunda opción de desarrollo turístico y comercial de este hermoso pueblito, el cual recibe cada fin de semana a numerosas familias regiomontanas y de otras partes de la región. Esta plaza está rodeada de casas muy bonitas que incluso son sede de partidos políticos y otras dependencias del ayuntamiento local. Sin embargo; algunas otras podrían ser utilizadas como restaurantes y comercios, tal cual sucede con la citada Plaza Ocampo. La idea sería que esta área verde sea utilizada como atractivo secundario o "satélite" a la plaza principal pues por su ubicación y fisionomía, se presta para realizar en ella eventos, exposiciones y demás.
