The Hotel Plaza Grande has a great location right in the Plaza de la Independencia, the city's central square. The spot was originally home to the Guarderas family, and it's a wonderful location which offers a truly breathtaking view of the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the old domes of ancient churches, and the Municipal Palace. Yes, it's a luxury hotel with a rather exclusive clientele, but you can always just go for a coffee.
