Surrounded by Important Monuments
The Consistorio Square is located between the Ayuntamiento Square and the Pasadizo del Ayuntamiento. It is a quite transited square, since it’s on the way to different areas of the city, and where you will find a weapon and crafts shop as well as a typical restaurant of the region.
It is a square where you can observe the most traditional buildings of the city, with its houses made of big stone blocks and wooden windows. A stair takes you along a slope to the building that houses the Historical Archive, that used to be a Dominique convent, and then to the Church of San Ildefonso.
Through the Pasadizo del Ayuntamiento you will enter the area where the churches of San Marcos and Salvador are located. The last access of this plaza takes to the Cathedral and City Hall.
