Plaza de Toros de Atienza

Un poco más arriba de la Iglesia Museo de la Trinidad, recostada en la ladera del cerro del castillo se emplaza la Plaza de Toros de Atienza, con capacidad para 1500 espectadores. Curiosamente, es un coso portátil, y hasta 1982, los festejos taurinos organizados durante las fiestas patronales en honor al Santísimo Cristo de Atienza (a finales de Agosto) se celebraban en distintas plazas del pueblo. Desde aquí podrás contemplar una bonita panorámica del conjunto histórico de Atienza, y observar la torre de homenaje de la antigua fortaleza, algunos lienzos de muralla y lo que fuera el patio de armas.

A little higher than the Trinity Museum Church, lying on the hillside of the castle hill is the Atienza Bullring, with capacity for 1500 spectators. Curiously, it is a portable thing, and until 1982, bullfighting celebrations organized during the festivities in honor of the Holy Christ of Atienza (at the end of August) were held in different squares of the town.
