Light and dark
Late spring in Plaza Italia is a mythical place rooted in social struggles, since it's always occupied by either locals or farmers who come to demand the government give their problems greater attention. There were indigenous people sitting in the square the day I was there, but I didn't see them in that way because I was focused on the sky. It was cloudy that day, but the sun was about to break through, creating an atmosphere between light and dark. You can appreciate this effect in trees and the sky, standing in a coconut grove in in a spring evening.
