Plaza de España

Cuatro esquinas tiene la plaza de España de Mérida y en cada esquina un kiosko para tomar el café, un helado, un batido, una limonada. Nos sentamos, no ahora, no a media tarde en pleno agosto, sino en una primavera fresca en la que el tiempo nos ofrece una tregua entre el gran frío y el gran calor de los tiempos extremos. En nuestra esquina hoy toca salvar el mundo, defender posturas políticas que idealizadas suenan perfectas pero que en materialidad tiene escasa relevancia. Nuestra esquina no resuelve el mundo esa tarde, por lo que preferimos dejar la política para otros y hablamos de arte, de literatura, de cómics y películas. Suenan las campanas de la catedral y levantan el vuelo las palomas. Nosotros también tenemos que dejar la esquina y volver a la vida real. En la que no contamos nada, salvo para la taza del café.

Un punto clave en la ciudad de Mérida es su Plaza de España. Tiene una ubicación perfecta al estar cerca de varios puntos turísticos. Por ejemplo, al ladito está el Templo de Diana, la Alcazaba y el puente romano. Pero además de su localización, la Plaza dispone de varios puntos fuertes más. Por ejemplo, tiene muchas terrazas, tanto en los soportales como en el centro de la plaza. Aunque estos puntos son mejor disfrutarlos al anochecer, porque durante la época de las terrazas hace demasiado calor a lo largo del día. Este rincón, más que turístico, es práctico. También hay alojamientos, comercios, bares, etc.

Buena convivencia deportiva a lo largo de una jornada maratoniana en la cual se a puesto a prueba la preparacion fisica de todos los participantes. Esperemos que eventos como este sigan llenando nuestra ciudad de participantes y acompañantes venidos de toda la geografia Española y se lleven un grato recuerdo.
