Playa de Kalarand

Ubicada en el extremo norte de la ciudad de Tallin, la Playa de Kalarand ha sido históricamente el centro más importante de la industria pesquera en la capital estonia. Según los registros, se calcula que pescadores locales acudían a este sitio desde el Siglo XIV, y aún en la actualidad sigue siendo un punto importante para el comercio y tránsito de productos marítimos. Sin embargo, si estás de paseo por la ciudad, seguramente te interesarán más las cualidades que tiene la playa como sitio de descanso que como centro pesquero. Resulta que la Playa de Kalarand es la más cercana al casco histórico de Tallin, por lo que podrás llegar a ella caminando unos veinte minutos desde la Plaza Central. Desde aquí, podrás tener las mejores vistas del Golfo de Finlandia, y de los barcos pesqueros y los ferris que llevan a ciudades como Helsinki, Estocolmo y San Petersburgo. Si bien lo ideal sería visitar el lugar en un día caluroso de verano, incluso en el frío invierno estonio merece la pena darse una vuelta por aquí.

Located at the northern end of the city of Tallinn, Kalarand Beach has historically been the most important center of the fishing industry in the Estonian capital. It turns out that Kalarand Beach is the closest to the historic center of Tallinn, so you can reach it by walking about twenty minutes from the Central Plaza. From here, you can have the best views of the Gulf of Finland, and fishing boats and ferries to cities such as Helsinki, Stockholm and St. Petersburg. While the ideal would be to visit the place on a hot summer day, even in the cold Estonian winter it is worth taking a walk around here.
