Plainpalais Market
This diamond-shaped square with pink floors has a market on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6.30am to 1pm, and on Sunday from 8am to 7pm- less on rainy days. This outdoor market attracts a large number of tourists looking for a souvenir of Geneva. In it you will find everything from food (fruits, vegetables, cheese, bread etc), as well as stalls that sell crêpes, churros, coffee etc. There are stalls with flower, or antiques (furniture, dishes, ornaments), books, second hand clothes, vinyls, etc. In the same square there was a skating rink made of wood, which was demolished in 2012. Now there is a much larger concrete rink.
Sometimes they put a circus on there. It is relatively close to the Parc des Bastions, which I also recommend (I already discussed it here on Minube). Transport by bus and tram (no. 15) is continuous. In addition, there are several restaurants and cafes around the square ... I can take the opportunity to recommend the bar-restaurant "Central Perk" (also shared on Minube).
