The Placerita Nature Center is a free learning center with live animals and informational boards that provide an engaging opportunity to know more about types of animals found in the wild. Among live animals on display in cages outside include the turkey vulture. Inside the building are displays of animals, including the mountain lion and raccoons, as well as a model of mountains in the Angeles National Forest. The building itself is also something to appreciate, as it was designed with the environment in mind. One cool feature is the motion-detector lights. There is ample free parking and clean restrooms.
