Place Jeanne - Hachette

The story I learned somewhat later, is that a young woman named Jeanne Lainé, in the year 1472, defended the city with axes, hence the name was changed and it was named to what it is now. The council is chaired by one of its sides, and the statue of Jeanne is in the iddle of this bustling which houses one of the most delicious coffees of Beauvais.
