If you're heading to the PSU farmer's market on a Saturday morning, don't miss the Pine State Biscuits stand. The farmer's market is where Pine State originally started. It's expanded to 3 other locations (restaurants on Division and Alberta, and a take out window on NE Schuyler) for obvious reasons- it's incredibly delicious! Savory, comforting buttermilk biscuits are the core of their menu. They're scrumptious with a simple spread of honey or jam, or try one of the sandwiches like the chatfield (fried chicken, bacon, cheese, apple butter sandwich) the regina (egg over easy, braised greens, hot sauce) or even biscuits and sausage or mushroom gravy.
