Piazza Vecchia

Piazza Vecchia si trova nel centro di Città Alta ed è stata a lungo il cuore della città. Al centro della piazza si trova la fontana Contarini, che è un pò il simbolo di Bergamo, sulla quale si affacciano il palazzo della Ragione (riconoscibile perchè sulla facciata ha un bassorilievo che raffigura un leone, simbolo della dominazione veneziana durata quasi 400 anni), il palazzo del Podestà e la biblioteca Angelo Mai. Sulla piazza si affacciano anche locali e ristoranti storici che d'estate mettono a disposizione tavolini all'esterno per godersi un attimo di relax immersi nell'atmosfera dal sapore antico di questa piazza. Se siete a Bergamo per qualche giorno ricordate di visitarla anche la sera! Ogni giorno, alle 22, infatti, la torre civica suona 100 rintocchi in ricordo dell'antico coprifuoco medioevale e per un attimo l'intera piazza rivive il suo splendore passato!

Il Palazzo della Ragione talvolta ospita mostre interessanti, mentre Fontana Contarini provvede a rinfrescare i visitatori accaldati nei torridi pomeriggi estivi. Fra tutti i monumenti presenti in questa bellissima piazza spicca la Torre civica conosciuta come il Campanone. Se avrete la fortuna di trovarvi in città per le 22 circa, udirete i rintocchi che ogni giorno vengono suonati dalla Torre. Piazza Vecchia in Bergamo Alta is by far the most popular tourist spot of the city. On the south side of the square is the city's Cathedral, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colleoni Chapel. Muy recomendable, va de paso para llegar al segundo transporte para poder llegar al Castelló y ver la ciudad alta desde arriba. Cogiendo la tarjeta de 24h que cuesta entre 3-4€ puedes hacer todos los viajes incluidos estos, por el pueblo.

A precious part of the city, highly recommended, is going to get to the second transport to get to Castelló and see the upper town from above, and taking the 24h card that costs between 3-4 € you can do all trips included these, for the people!

Piazza principale di Città alta.. Si trova davanti alla biblioteca che consiglio di visitare.. Ci sono una serie di bar/gelaterie che meritano di essere visitate per godersi l'atmosfera di questa piazza!
