This restaurant has a history. I came after reading about it in Enric Gonzalez's book 'New York Stories'. It's in Brooklyn (although I think - but I'm not sure - that there is another branch in Long Island). Most taxi drivers know it. Enric says it's the best place to grab a burger in the city. The steak burger is the specialty, and it's good, but beware ... you'll get a nasty look if you ask for well-done. The restaurant looks like a cozy tavern, with Polish waters and local clientele. The price is pretty good, and the food lives up to its reputation. For dessert we got some great chocolate coins, the kind you'll find in children's sweets bags.
