People's Park

The people's park is the main park of Limerick. It was opened in 1877, in memory of Richard Russell, an important businessman. There are several points of interest in the park, as the source of drinking water, donated by a flour mill, a space with games for children, and various trees, donated by people who love the park, and cared for by the city. The park opens at eight o'clock, and closes at dusk. It won an award for best local park recently, and is one of the favorite places for people to play, walk and relax.
