A disappointing experience
This guesthouse is located in the historical centre of San Sebastian, opposite the Palace of San Telmo, at the foot of Mount Urgull, between the beaches of La Concha and Zurriola. It's a modest guesthouse in a residential building, so there's not much more than a counter that serves as reception and the rooms. We booked a double with extra bed, and to tell the truth we were a little disappointed by the quality : price ratio. The service was poor - the only contact we had in five days was when we arrived and were told that the room was still not ready, despite it being 2pm, and when we left and were given the bill.
It's a small hotel with just five rooms, so we expected more family-style service, and for the managers to take notice of the details, but it was quite the opposite. Upon entering the room I noticed that the cleaning was insufficient, the closet quite old and full of dust. But looking at the view from the balcony ... I could forget those little inconveniences, just gazing over the beauty of the city and the sea. Another advantage is its proximity to the area famous for pintxos, no need to drive anywhere.
