An ancient hill
The Pendreich is an ancient hill near Sheriff Muir, behind the University of Stirling. There are parking spaces and various walkways, which become a little more difficult during the frosty weather of winter, but are never anything to really worry about. During our walk we passed some very young trees, part of an initiative by the Comission of Forestry, who are eliminating old and diseased trees and replacing them with these saplings.
Today the Pendreich is a transit point that leads to the mountain of Dumyat, so it is very popular with visitors. You can walk to the top of the Pendreich
