White sand and turquoise sea
South of the Peninsula of Troia, Comporta is one of the treasures of Portugal, with wonderful beaches and extensive pine forests just over an hour from Lisbon. In recent years it's become fashionable and is a center of rest of the nice people of Lisbon. Pego and Carvalhal beaches are a good examples, they belong to the municipality of Grandola and are next to the village do Carvalhal. We went to Pego beach with white sand, very blue almost turquoise sea, a well preserved dune landscape and in the mist to the north you could make out the full silhouette of Arrábida Sierra.
