Wonderful beach

Pedrogao is a village on the coast of Portugal that doubles or triples its inhabitants in summer thanks to its wonderful beach. It is perhaps one of the main tourist areas in the sense that it has many typical mças summer buildings. It is really easy to see architectural structures that break the traditional Portugese model, although they conserve the height as all the pretty buildings are no more than 3 floors. The highlight of this place is definitely its formidable beach. It is a long, sandy and full of dunes that give it a wild look. The dunes run along the town's main road and there's a wooden fence so that the sand doesn't block the road when it's windy.

It is truly wonderful to walk on this beach - it is so long you can almost get to the next town. It is very open and very exposed to the wind. Also, be careful when bathing because there are often strong currents and the Atlantic Ocean is very rough. Besides the beach you can visit some monuments such as; the chapel of the Holy Spirit - stone and with great charm, the chapel of Our Lady of Grace - also stone, but a few shades lighter and is a well-liked and respected by the locals, the chapel of San Antonio - with a bell tower, and the chapel of Our Lady of the Flowers - the smallest and simplest, but it is beautiful, painted white and has a small cross on top of the roof.
