Pedestrian Bridge of Telford
The Telford footbridge crosses to St Katherine Docks, without having to go all the way to the port. The bridge can be opened with a mechanism, to let large boats through. The first representations of the port date to the early nineteenth century, and it is thought that the bridge was built by Thomas Telford, the district engineer. The bridge had a wheel which moved on the water. It is one of the few structures of this type that you can find today.
