Peaches Hot House

"Good food is not fast, fast food is not good." That's the motto on the door as you enter Peaches Hot House. Apparently, they take it pretty serious as it took us two hours to eat (one for the wait, and one for the food). This well-known restaurant serves traditional Southern cooking with a modern twist and is one of the few places in Bedford-Stuyvesant where the food is cooked fresh. They also use locally-sourced products whenever possible. It is one of the seven restaurants in the city run by owners Ben and Craig. Overall, the food is pretty good. I tried the house specialty: fried chicken with oven-roasted potatoes.
