Breathtaking majesty
Pau Cathedral in the center of the city, is a marvel. It has a distinctive architectural style characteristic of this part of France, a Gothic building of stunning height, imbued with a breathtaking majesty. It also helps gives the two towers solemnity as they stand on each side of the main part, making the church look even taller if possible. As usual with Gothic architecture, the decorations dominate the walls, ie, has a stunning rose window and numerous stained glass windows that are indescribable. Perhaps this is what caught my attention, stained glass, especially when I walked inside, as thousand different colors illuminate the whole area giving warmth in the atmosphere and a spectacular tranquility which is impressive.
Another element worth noting that the interior of this cathedral is the organ, indeed, it is quite common for cycles of organ playing to happen in this church. As for the exterior, is a magnificent building and one thing stands out , the two towers appear to be unfinished, and it seems to have no ceiling. It is very curious and beautiful at the same time, though, you have to remember to look, otherwise, it goes by unnoticed. By the way, at Christmas, as in the other churches of France, an impressive Bethlehem is installed within, very worth visiting.
