1 review of Path from Ephesus to Selçuk

Haven of nature and tranquility

Most hostels in Selçuk offer free transportation to Ephesus ruins, 3 km from the city. But why go by van if the road can be walked in 30 minutes with spectacular scenery? I strongly recommend going on foot, especially in spring, the road is well kept, has a bicycle lane and becomes an idyllic stroll. The whole way is surrounded by flowering fruit, cows grazing, Ionian imitation statues, etc. Moreover, much of it is surrounded by trees that provide shade and a bit of fresh air in the heat of the day. Either on the way to, or coming back from Ephesus you shouldn't miss the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, poorly marked from this path but free.

One of my best moments in Selçuk was this walk - a haven of nature and tranquility.
