The Patacho Beach, located on the northern coast of Alagoas in Porto das Pedras, is part of the famous "Green Route," an itinerary of lush, beautiful virgin beaches dotted with natural pools. The best time to go is at low tide when you can walk out almost half a mile without the water ever reaching your knees.
The beach is deserted...no infrastructure, no restaurants, no tents. If you're looking for a place to stay, there are a couple charming inns like the Pousada do Patacho.
Getting there: After passing São Miguel dos Milagres toward Maragogi, turn right after the statue of Padre Cicero at the sign indicating Patacho Beach.
