The Passage de l'Argue is a pedestrian promenade built in 1825 by the architect Fargue. It imitates arcades as it is covered by a glass roof and wrought iron it began to be built in Paris at the same time. It was the first covered passage along with Lyon, and its architectural style is unique in the city. It allows you to move from Republic Square to the street of Edouard Herriot and Brest. The god Mercury is a statue and this place opened to the inhabitants in 1828. It is a copy of an Italian Renaissance work, and is in the central dome. The street was completely renovated, this former medieval street was very dirty with fifteen weaving workshops.
