Millennium Walk

The Millennium Promenade is possibly one of the most attractive areas to walk, and even to live, in Whitehaven. It results from the conversion of an old fishing port waterfront, the renovated buildings and lighting make it very modern, especially at night. Possibly the most select area of the town, with the best restaurants (like the Waterfront), cafes and of course with more expensive homes, but the view deserves it. Much more in summer than in winter, but with full functionality throughout the year, it's a symbol of the transformation and the struggle to adjust to the times without getting stuck in past glories.
