City of the Parks: Karlovac
As you go to Karlovac, what cathces your attention is the number of parks and green parts in this city of over 50,000. Karlovac is known as a city where 4 rivers flow, but the Croats is known as "The City of Parks". Surrounding the heart of town and shopping streets, limiting toward these rivers, extend areas and parkland, with trees and vegetation. This invites the inhabitants of Karlovac to meet, especially young people, in these areas, and many people in Karlovac drive along the many bike lanes of the city through these huge parks. Apart from the natural beauty of these areas there has been installed different sculptures in different areas, which gives an air that is "intellectual".
Anyway, regardless of this, these parks make the city of Karlovac look clean, green, natural and relaxing to the eyes of the traveler. Of course, it is difficult to resist sitting in the immaculate lawn, where one experiences a sense of relaxation and well being impossible to find in other cities, not villages, Croats. It is therefore confirmed that the nickname "City of Parks" is only true in the case of Karlovac, parks make the city feel more like a village and peaceful haven in the mountains. It also transmits the feeling of being a very nice and quiet to live, a city in perfect harmony with its parks, where people enjoy the urban core itself and its big recreational areas where you can escape, a great advantage that does not exist worldwide.
