Best to take your time

The Villa Borghese is located in northern Rome and is one of the most famous parks the city. To get there, take the metro to the Flaminio stop at Piazza del Popolo and then you can walk from there. Alternately, there’s a bus that goes to the Porta Pinciana stop. A place like the Villa Borghese is perfect for art history fans and lovers who enjoy long walks. The park is huge park and houses some of the best galleries in Rome. The origins of the park date back to Pope Paul V who gave this part of the city to his nephew after making him Cardinal.

Beautiful views of the gardens and lake

This villa is one of the largest in Rome and extends over the Pincian Hill just outside of the city walls. Large English landscape garden

Villa Borghese is a large landscape garden with a naturalistic English style located in Rome. Inside it contains several buildings, museums and attractions. The park is 80 hectares, making it the second largest public park in the Italian capital, after the Villa Doria Pamphili. Currently inside the park you will find the Bioparco (the old zoo), the Civic Museum of Zoology, the Borghese Gallery (essential to visit this pinacotheca during your visit to Rome), Gardino Lake (with boats to ride) and the Pietro Canonica Museum and many other squares and small gardens.

A sense of peace

There’s no better way to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of Rome than taking a walk through the Villa Borghese, especially in autumn. The sense of peace and quiet in the center of such a great city is really impressive.
