Park Djurgården

This was originally the royal hunting park. It is now a large public park perfect for relaxing on a sunny day. First of all, stop at Sjocafeet Cafe where you can hire a kayak. I took a pre-booked tour, our guide was an American lady who had a Swedish husband. In twin kayaks we paddled around central Stockholm learning about the historic sites. We also almost kayaked through a 21 gun salute for the baby princess.

Next stop lunch at the Rosendals Tradgarden. This is a small organic farm in the middle of the park. They have a self service restaurant offering food prepared from the farm. Make yours a take away and find a quiet spot in their orchard to enjoy an open sandwich and cake.
