I was forunate
It was June 6th and I was bicycling around Paris under the warm and radiant sun. I had packed a picnic and was headed to the Champs de Mars. What better plan than to have a leisurely lunch in front of the Eiffel Tower? So there I was, barefoot and stretched out, when I saw an unusual movement in the corner of my eye. One group and then another passed by, all the members dressed in colorful uniforms and folk costumes.I thought that they’d come, play for a bit, and leave, but they didn't stop; hundreds of them kept pouring in, filling with Champs de Mars with joyful music. The musicians played and marched among the seated tourists, creating bizarre harmonies as different groups crissed and crossed.
