Segovia Parador
Close to town: tranquil, swimming pool and fantastic views of the Segovia sunset.
Eating, of course, is expensive. Good place where we finished our trip, very highly recommended. Tomorrow end of journey.

It is a cosy and very large hotel, all very well with their model and their immense living rooms.
It has a large outdoor swimming pool with lawn to lie down on and another, in winter, inside with heating. The rooms are nice and comfortable, I recommend it.
Weekend at the Segovia Parador (state-run luxury hotel)... birthday present from my partner.
A quiet place, close to Madrid to escape the routine in a mini-vacation. The best part: the tranquillity, sleeping soundly, without the sounds of society in the capital.
Its cuisine, a treat for the palate.
Last year, tired of the beach, we decided to spend some days in Segovia as we had never been. Looking at the parador (state-run luxury hotel) website we saw this one and went ahead and booked a room.
The paradors’ location is unbeatable, just outside of town but such that when dining on the terrace you have spectacular views across the city.
During the day when you decide to visit the old town, you get in the car and in five minutes you are at the gates of the aqueduct. On the other hand, the room is stupendous, spacious and the mattresses are comfortable (something that pleasantly surprised us because we've been to other hotels with more stars and the mattresses were really hard...).
But great views
