Ice cream and donuts
Our hotel did not have breakfast, so we set out into the already-hot morning to find some. Redemption came just a few blocks later at this open-air bakery. We got strong coffee and a bag full of little treats; as is common in Panama, you often don't know what you are getting until you buy it and stick it in your mouth. In this case it was little raspberry-jelly cookies and empanadas with cheese and spicy ground beef.
