Palace of Vertemate Franchi

In the Prosto di Piuro, 2 km from Chiavenna, in Val Bregaglia. Built in the second half of the sixteenth century by the brothers William and Vertemate Luigi Franchi, representatives of one of the richest families. The palace is a Renaissance work very immersed in a warm atmosphere that provides the real-life story of a XVII century aristocratic family. Inside the palace, the walls and vaulted ceilings are painted with frescoes depicting scenes and mythological figures.
