The oldest in the City
The neo-Gothic Palace of Los Monroy (or, Palace of the Two Towers) is the oldest palace in Plasencia. One of the two towers which earned the palace its nickname was destroyed at the beginning of the 20th century due to previous damage resulting from the 1755 Lisbon earthquake.
It’s located behind the Plaza de San Nicolás in the heart of the historic district. The façade is Romanesque and dates to the 13th century.
