Palace of Justice
The Palace of Justice in Poitiers has two faces. On one side, you can see a huge medieval building, which at the time was the palace of the counts and dukes of the Aquitaine region, important people in French history. The older parts of the building date back to the ninth century, hence why the building has had several additions and renovations throughout its history. In the Middle Ages, this austere building served to render justice. The other side was built in the eighteenth century.
