El PUENTE PACIFICO, es un puente ferroviario de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, inaugurado en el año 1914. Está construido totalmente en acero y a través de él las vias del Ferrocarril General San Martín cruza la Av. Santa Fe en su intersección con la Av. Juan B. Justo. Aquí se encuentra la Estación Palermo de la línea de trenes San Martín y por debajo está la Estación de Subte de la línea D, de igual nombre: Estación Palermo. El nombre del puente deriva de la Compañía de Ferrocariles Buenos Aires al Pacífico, propietaria del puente y del ramal ferroviario, en las primeras décadas del Siglo XX. Por esa época la Estación Palermo era la final de este ramal. En la actualidad el Ferrocarril San Martín une a esta Capital con infinidad de barrios,dentro de la ciudad, como Villa Urquiza, por ejemplo y también cruza a la Pcia. De Buenos Aires, llegando hasta Pilar. Esta área de la ciudad, denominada Pacífico tiene un intenso tránsito vehicular y de peatones. El PUENTE PACIFICO es un punto neurálgico de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, no sólo como referencia sino como sitio distribuidor de calles hacia diferentes destinos. Hacia un lado, al Barrio de Belgrano, pasando por el Regimiento Primero de Infantería, por otro hacia Palermo, Av. Del Libertador, el Rosedal y por otro hacia Plaza Italia adonde están la Sociedad Rural , el Zoológico y el Botánico.
