Ota Darvoza

Quello dell'Ota Darvoza è l'ingesso principale alla città vecchia di Khiva, situato sul lato occidentale delle mura. Questa imponente porta venne distrutta nel 1920 per migliorare la viabilità della città, ma quando è stata capita la sua importanza storica è stato ricostruito. Da qui si accede alla città che oggi è un Patrimonio dell'Umanità UNESCO e importante incrocio della Via della Seta, come è anche indicato dal grande dipinto a due passi dalle porte.

What OTA Darvoza is the main-input to the old city of Khiva, located on the western side of the wall. This impressive gate was destroyed in 1920 to improve traffic flow in the city, but when it was understood its historical importance has been rebuilt. From here you enter the city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important crossroads of the Silk Road, as is also indicated by the large painting just a few steps from the gates.
