Si estás buscando un lugar bueno y auténtico para comer cerca de la híper-turística Piazza del Popolo en Roma, Osteria Santa Ana es tu mejor opción. Se trata de una taberna popular entre la gente del barrio y sirven comida tradicional romana con un toque gourmet y un énfasis en la tradición y materia prima excelente. Un consejo: tienen una terraza bonita en la calle, recomiendo llamar antes para reservar una mesa fuera (tendrás reservar el viernes y sábado de todas formas, ya que es bastante popular y se llena rápido). La comida es excelente. Para empezar, recomiendo pedir el queso Pecorino al horno con trufa negra fresca rallada. El queso fundido perfumado con trufa fue adictivo, ¡tan bueno que terminamos pidiendo dos! Para platos principales, pedimos el rabo de toro estofado y las chuletas de cordero asadas, ambos justo en su punto, tiernos, y muy sabrosos. Los precios son más que razonables - cada plato principal ronda los 10 y 15 euros, y un vino de casa perfectamente bueno para acompañar (aunque tienen una extensa lista de vinos si estás buscando algo más). Los camareros fueron muy amables y hablan en español e inglés. Para mí, un sitio de 10. Nos gustó tanto que comimos allí dos veces durante nuestra estancia en Roma. ¡Altamente recomendado!

If you are looking for a good and authentic place to eat near the hyper-tourist Piazza del Popolo in Rome, Osteria Santa Ana is your best choice. It is a tavern popular with locals and serves traditional Roman food with a gourmet twist and an emphasis on tradition and excellent raw materials. One tip: they have a nice terrace on the street, I recommend calling ahead to reserve a table outside (you will have to book on Friday and Saturday anyway, as it is quite popular and fills up fast). The food is excellent. For starters, I recommend ordering the baked Pecorino cheese with grated fresh black truffle. The cheese smelt perfumed with truffle was addictive, so good we ended up ordering two! For mains, we ordered the stewed oxtail and the roasted lamb chops, both just right, tender, and very tasty. The prices are more than reasonable - each entree round 10 and 15 euros, and a perfectly good house wine to accompany (although they have an extensive wine list if you are looking for something else). The waiters were very friendly and speak in Spanish and English. For me, a site of 10. We liked it so much that we ate there twice during our stay in Rome. Highly recommended!
