Orthodox Church of Piraeus

It is certainly worth stopping along this route in order to admire this impressive Orthodox Church. Its dimensions make it impossible to look away, its forms and its colors make it a sight to behold, but the inside is not far behind, and may even surpass its exterior. Its high walls are, upon entering, a few stands where there are religious images, all protected by glass so that the faithful can kiss it without causing any damage. If we continue to progress we will enjoy the extraordinary domes, all decorated with images of Christ, the Virgin Mary and the Saints. To get there we need to go in the direction of the harbour, which is just about 100 m away, specifically the intersection of Leoforos Vasileos Georgiou with Ethnikis Antistaseos.
