Oldest human art form
This small figure or sculpture, is considered the sample of oldest human art form in Scotland and Northern Europe, and is approximately 4,500 years old. Its name is because it was found in 2009 on the island of Westray (Orkney Islands). No one knows for sure if it was a toy, a talisman or religious object. It's a small figure that seems to represent the body of a woman, with breasts and roughly shaped nose and eyes on her face. Because of its importance, it was decided to have a traveling exhibition throughout Scotland including Stirling Castle.
