Orient Star Khiva Hotel

Located inside the old town (known as Ichan-Kala) and totally walled, it is the only hotel in Uzbekistan that is in an old madrassa, the [poi = 458441 ] Mukhammad Madrassa Alikhan [/ poi], also known as Amin Khan Madrassa Moukhammed. The Madrassa dates back to the mid-nineteenth century (1851-1853). It became the largest Madrassa in the city. Up to 250 students were living and studying here at the beginning of the twentieth century. This 3-star hotel has 61 double rooms, which were formerly used by students of the Madrasa. It still keeps its charm. All rooms are equipped with bathroom with bath and shower, minibar, telephone, cable television and of course air conditioning.
